Blossoming out from Melbourne’s 2020 lockdown, Intimate Partners combine the musical forces of Alison Ainsworth and Lachlan Hol to establish their distinctive take on dreampop within the alternative electronic universe.

The duo's name initially evolved as they poked fun at the reason they could hang out during the state's restrictions. During these times locked away in a home studio, the duo bonded over records by Radiohead, The War On Drugs and Beck, which resulted in early demos and the foundations of their debut single “Different Life” (released April 2021).

In early 2021 IP turned their focus to the writing and production of a debut album, Add A Little Honey. Returning to more guitar driven songwriting, the album revolves around a central concept of escaping loneliness and finding hope and new connections in the ever changing world that surrounds us. Heavily influenced by dream pop and shoegaze artists, Beach House and Slowdive, Add A Little Honey emerged as a melting pot of genres that unfolds through melancholic dream-esque ballads, evolving into lush uplifting alt-pop anthems, united under the theme of resilience and moving forward.

Intricate vocal melodies breakthrough a wall of reverb soaked guitars and synthesizers, entangled by electronic based drums and percussion.
